In Hungary today, approximately 40,000 fathers raise their children alone. Our new program series was launched for them on Father's Day, and with this we want to support fathers raising their children alone and draw attention to the importance of the role of fathers in the family, the Single Parent Center announced.

About 14 percent of single parents in Hungary are men, they wrote, adding, "we rarely talk about them and the problems and feelings of fathers who live separately." That's why the initiative called Apaerő het rou rare was born, which is a joint program of Gergő Süveges - the founder of Apakulcs - and the Single Parent Center.

In the program, fathers who raise their children alone receive online help and community.

From the end of June, the participants will receive a short letter every week, in which they will find questions to consider and easy-to-do small exercises. In addition, a support Facebook group is created and online meetings are organized from time to time, where it will be possible to talk and exchange experiences with other fathers.

They reminded me that

In Hungary today, approximately 300,000 families are missing one parent.

The Single Parent Center in Pest was opened in May 2018 to provide practical help and community to families where one parent is raising a child. In March 2022, the second Single Parent Center was opened in Buda, next to the Déli railway station, which is easily accessible for single-parent children and families living in the Buda agglomeration and Buda.

They also mentioned that Apakulcs is the only book, online help and training system in Hungarian that helps fathers in any life situation to connect more strongly and healthily with their children.
