After the Wagner operation, the Russian president spoke on television.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a televised speech on Saturday morning. Putin began his speech at 9 a.m. Hungarian time - 10 a.m. local time.

The Russian president stated that some Russians were "tricked into a criminal adventure" without mentioning the Wagner group. According to Putin, the future of Russia is now at stake, and he called the actions of the rebels a stab in the back. Without mentioning Prigozhin, he noted that the great ambitions of some led to treason.

He stated

we will punish those who divide Russia”.

Putin also emphasizes that all "necessary orders" have been issued to deal with the crisis and has pledged to protect Russia.

As is well known, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of Wagner's Russian private army, practically proclaimed a rebellion, to which he expects the Russian people and soldiers to join. The reason for this is that, according to him, a rocket attack by the Russian army hit one of Wagner's camps, resulting in many victims. The Russian Ministry of Defense considers all this to be a lie and a provocation, denying the allegations.

By Saturday morning, however, the events continued.

BBC wrote . In the video, Putin's former chef states that his troops will blockade the city and march to Moscow unless Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and General Valery Gerasimov come to them.

In the recording, Prigozhin can be seen between two generals, one of whom is Army Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseev,

who previously called on the Wagner boss to resign in a video.

According to Russia expert Gábor Stier, the matter has already matured, but only the wishful media believed that Yevgeny Prigozhin was causing an upheaval.

"The leader of the Wagner group, behaving more and more like a loose ship's cannon, first began to share the (half) truth like populist politicians or court fools, and then finally believed that he was the chosen one and started to do justice in order to "stop the evil", that is, in his reading, the Russian military leadership. This is otherwise called a military coup, and in wartime treason. It seems that the Russian leadership noticed a little late that Prigozhin had lost control in his confusion of self-esteem, that he thought himself indispensable, and that he no longer only rambles and trolls, but also means what he says. In the end, the Kremlin stepped in, and the desperate Prigozhin, putting everything on one page, escaped," he writes on the Moskvatér blog.
