The time of peace - this is the motto of this year's Tusványos, declared Zsolt Németh, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament and founder of the free university, at the event's press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.

For Minorities - Pro Minoritate Foundation and the Hungarian Youth Council July 18-23. organized by the XXXII. Bálványosi Summer Free University and Student Camp at Tusnádfürdő in Transylvania.

Zsolt Németh pointed out: the extremely busy past year in Europe and the world was characterized by war, warfare, unrest, while there is a need for peace, both in the inter-party sense and in the Carpathian Basin, he emphasized.

The Fidesz politician described Tusványos as a traditional arena for building the Hungarian consensus, where the inter-party round table will be held again this year. Fidesz faction leader Máté Kocsis, MSZP representative Zsolt Molnár, Jobbik deputy faction leader Brenner Koloman and LMP deputy faction leader Máté Kanász-Nagy announced their participation.

According to tradition, a national round table will be held, the leaders of the Hungarian communities in the Carpathian Basin will also meet and meet the Prime Minister. In Viktor Orbán's speech held on the main stage on Saturday, it is expected that the theme of the time of peace will also play a prominent role - said Zsolt Németh, who pointed out that Hungary is pursuing peace diplomacy, and it is also evident that the desire for peace is getting stronger on the international stage as well.

He noted: the camp will be held a week after the NATO summit, so the timing of the event is very good.

He confirmed the Hungarian position that there is no military solution to the war. A diplomatic solution is needed as soon as possible - noted Zsolt Németh, pointing out that they clearly condemn the Russian aggression against Ukraine, but at the same time they consider it important to strengthen solidarity towards Ukraine, which is perceptibly present in Hungarian society.

Németh spoke about the constant anti-Hungarian sentiment in the Carpathian Basin, which justifies a joint strategy. He pointed out: in the current wartime, minority rights have been greatly degraded, not only in Ukraine, but also in other states. In addition, the protection of minorities also faces serious difficulties in the field of international law.

He also mentioned that elections are being prepared in the whole Carpathian basin and on the European stage, and in such cases the anti-Hungarian sentiment will be strengthened and partial interests will also appear more strongly.

The Hungarian government emphasizes that the unanimous support of the unity of ethnic parties is the most important task of Hungarian politics, said Zsolt Németh.

According to the Fidesz politician, this year's event has 42 partners. Around 500 programs and a thousand speakers await visitors in 30 tents at the current Tusványos. At least eight ministers and dozens of state secretaries have promised to participate, and 80,000 participants are expected to attend the camp during the week.

He also said that many foreign guests are expected, so former Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa, Polish, American and British politicians and former US President Donald Trump's campaign chief will also visit Tusványos.

The program includes Tamás Cseh's evening, the best folk bands of Transylvania and the Carpathian Basin will perform in the János Kríza hall, the host will be Pál István Szalonna. Zsolt Németh also highlighted the performances of the Tokos band from Cluj and Mária Petrás from Moldavia.

He also touched on the fact that in recent years the Jenő Buzánszky sports terrace has been gaining more and more space, where football players Gábor Király and Nemanja Nikolics, as well as many Olympians, visit, among others. In connection with the 200 years of Petőfi, cultural programs await those who are interested, and an ecumenical service for peace is held in the spirit of creating spiritual peace.

Tibor T. Toró, the vice-president of the Transylvanian Hungarian Association (EMSZ), said: Tusványos changes year by year in such a way that they have also been able to preserve the goals set at the start.

More than a free university and more than a festival, not only in its value, but also in its spirit - concluded the Hungarian politician from Transylvania, who indicated that the preparation of the programs of the camp, which will begin in two weeks, is proceeding at full speed.

He covered the cooperation of the Székelyföld municipalities, the Hungarian Youth Council, the Transylvanian Hungarian National Council, the Transylvanian organization of the House of Traditions, and the partner role of Transylvanian civil organizations.

Among the programs of the thirty tents, he singled out the events of the Károly Kós tent and the Elemér Jakabffy tent, and emphasized that Tusványos is now the only place where meaningful dialogue can take place. He also said that several workshops will analyze the latest census data, the Roma issue and the situation of local governments will be on the agenda. In Transylvania, the municipalities are getting stronger, maybe this could be the way out if the roads in Bucharest become narrower.

Transcarpathia and the analysis of the situation there will appear in some way in every panel, I want to express solidarity with them in every possible way.
