After a week of back-and-forth painting, Tompa Street was restored to its original condition, but did any genius think of sanding off the previous layer of paint in their great ideological zeal?

The Ferencváros bench saga that has been going on for almost a week reached a new level on Wednesday morning. the Telex photo, the bench on Tompa Street was repainted brown. Now, the only thing that distinguishes it from its other public counterparts is that this text written on a piece of paper has been pasted on it:

"I just want to be a bench. Which is good for everyone. You too. For him too. Us."

In principle, the public seating area was repainted in the evening, but it is not known by whom. It is unlikely that it was the Fradi ultras, and the IX. the district municipality also denied that they had anything to do with the action.

Vote! Is it a crime to repaint the rainbow bench?

The whole case started last Thursday, July 6, when Amnesty International, in cooperation with the municipality led by Krisztina Baranyi, painted the bench in LGBTQ colors. A day later came the Fradi group called Aryan Greens, who painted the bench green and white, and then another round happened at the beginning of the week. The bench got its original color back for the fifth time.

But did any genius painter think of sanding off the previous layer?

If not, an exciting appearance can be expected as soon as that unfortunate bench begins to wear and bounce.

To the dust of peace: The rainbow bench was able to shine in Ferencváros for just a few days
