All the billboards of the CÖF in Hódmezővásárhely were damaged and pasted over on Thursday by the wife and team of Péter Márki-Zay. According to the Márki-Zaynés, he is a "mushroom" who believes that the failed Prime Minister candidate is pro-war. However, the mayor of Vásárhely clearly stated his position on sending weapons and soldiers to the front in the 2022 campaign...
"War supporters" - the Civil Solidarity Forum recently launched a nationwide poster campaign with this short, concise, striking message. The purpose of the CÖF is to remind Hungarians that Péter Márki-Zay, the opposition's failed Prime Minister candidate, and the other left-wing politicians, Ferenc Gyurcsány, Klára Dobrev, András Fekete-Győr and Gergely Karácsony, would and are still dragging Hungary into the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to war.
According to the signs, the truth hurts Péter Márki-Zay and his supporters in Hódmezővásárhely, as all the billboards were damaged and pasted over on Thursday. promenad24.hu wrote on the basis of information and photos received from their readers that the destructive detachment was led by the mayor's wife, Márki-Zayné Vincze Felícia, and some well-known activists took part in it, but neither local government representative Péter Fejes nor his wife, Margit "Momo" Szabó despite the difficulty of physical work. By the way, Márki-Zayné and her colleagues put the slightly - let's say - "cheesy" signs "Whoever says otherwise..." and "Whoever believes this is a mushroom..." on the advertisers.
While Márki-Zayné is now "mushrooming" wildly, it is worth recalling that in the 2022 election campaign, an entire country got to know how her husband, the left-liberal prime minister candidate stuffed with millions of US dollars, thinks about the war in Ukraine. Péter Márki-Zay spoke several times in February 2022, including in Márton Gulyás' Partizán and ATV, that he would even send weapons and soldiers to war. He firmly stated that if NATO decided, Hungary could even provide military assistance to Ukraine.
Moreover, at the time, he confirmed to the German newspaper Tagesspiegel that he would even deliver weapons to Ukraine: "I would also support weapons shipments, if NATO and the EU decided so. We would always follow joint decisions," he declared.
The Fidesz-KDNP government, on the other hand, already stated that this is not our war, that our country wants to stay out of it, and that it will not send weapons and/or soldiers to the front under any circumstances.
As for the pro-war stance of the left, it is also interesting that in the recent period, several analysts who cannot be accused of being pro-government, including Gábor Vona, have explained: Márki could already represent this position in 2022 in exchange for American support and more than HUF 4 billion in foreign aid - Péter Zay and his team...
