The Hungarian ambassador was invited to the Romanian Foreign Ministry, the news was confirmed by the Hungarian Foreign Minister on Monday.
The Romanian ambassador in Budapest visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 13 and presented an oral demarcation to the deputy state secretary responsible for territorial relations, confirmed Péter Szijjártó at a press conference held on a different topic.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also specified: in the Bucharest message, it was stated what Viktor Orbán should not talk about at Tusnádfürdő.
"These expectations were precisely mentioned by the Prime Minister at the very beginning of his speech," revealed Péter Szijjártó.
The Hungarian Prime Minister brought up all the "forbidden" topics in his speech. As an example, he also talked about national symbols and singled out the Hungarian participants who came with the Székely flag. Viktor Orbán even mentioned Székelyföld, which is not included in today's Romanian public administration.
Péter Szijjártó confirmed on his Facebook page that after the event in Tusványosi, the Hungarian ambassador to Romania was requested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there.
"The points communicated by the Romanian deputy state secretary practically repeated the points formulated in the previous demarcation, this time updated after the speech," he said about what happened.
In his presentation on the closing day of the 32nd Bálványos Summer Free University and Student Camp (Tusványos), Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said, "the Romanian foreign ministry came to my aid and wrote to me what I should not talk about. They advise us not to talk about things that might offend Romanian sensibilities".
Collective minority rights were among the topics mentioned by Bucharest, but Viktor Orbán indicated that they exist and belong to Hungarians.
During the weekend, it was also reported that Mihai Tirnoveanu, the head of the Romanian nationalist group Calea Neamului, called on the Romanian leadership to ban the unofficial visits of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and called on the authorities to ban the organization of the summer university in Tusnádfürdő from now on.
He added: in his opinion, the protection of those who go to Romania to act against Romania causes too many problems for the Romanian authorities. "At the same time, Hungarians have indeed lived in Transylvania for more than a thousand years, but they live on Romanian land," he wrote in his Facebook post.
