More than two-thirds of Poles support the ban on sex reassignment of minors through surgery or hormone therapy, according to a recent poll.

According to the Social Changes study prepared for the Polish news portal wPolityce

69 percent of those surveyed are against sex-changing surgeries and medications being available to minors.

In contrast, only 12 percent supported the move, while 19 percent had no firm opinion.

The survey also found that a majority of voters from all major political parties opposed the measures.

The wPolityce portal explained that the topic of the survey was chosen because of the growing problem of indoctrination of children about gender reassignment.

"Poland is a fairly conservative society in the best sense of the word, that is, we stick to what is in harmony with the natural, biological order of the world. However, we are very skeptical of various types of "experiments". And this is literally an experiment on the living body, on children. I am not surprised by the results of the survey and the fact that the majority of Poles are against such experiments on children"

- said Arkadiusz Jabłoński of the II. János Pál is professor of sociology at the Catholic University of Lublin.

As he said, if changing gender is an adult's decision, then he bears certain consequences of his actions. However, when it comes to children, you should instill far-reaching skepticism.
