At the invitation of Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, the Hungarian head of state will participate as a guest of honor at the Sinj Valiant Games.

On Sunday, the President of the Republic announced on his Facebook page that he and his husband are staying in Split, from where they will travel to Sinj, where they will meet the Croatian head of state and his wife.

The latter, Katalin Novák, also shared with her followers that she and her Croatian colleague visited the exhibition "Stipe Sikirica - the closeness of man and homeland" and then the Alka Museum.

"President Zoran Milanović invited me to Sinj to participate as a chief guest in the Alka Festival, which has been organized every year for three centuries, which commemorates a glorious day in Croatian history," the Hungarian head of state pointed out.

The Alka commemorates the victory of the Battle of Sinj in 1715, when the city's defenders in a heroic fight stopped the Ottoman conquerors from the southern part of Dalmatia, aspiring towards Europe.
