We cannot hold the Szikra camp on August 18-20 as planned! – the organizers issued information about this. This was justified by the fact that "the operator of the camp has put us under political pressure again from the Danube Bend location". It was highlighted: those who have already paid will of course be reimbursed for their camp registration fee. Those who registered for the camp were thanked for their application and promised that they will definitely start again next year.
In addition, they immediately announced that they also have good news: although the Szikra camp cannot be realized according to the original plans, they are not broken.
– If they want to make our camp impossible, we will organize an unadulterated left-wing community-building event right in front of their noses #justbecause. #Csakazértis Let's meet on August 19 in Budapest, where we will include as many of the programs of the 18-20 camp as possible in this one day! - they highlighted. They emphasized that thanks to the donors, the event is free.
Our community is now in brutal political headwinds, but this does not extinguish the Spark! No matter how hard the powers that be try, they won't stop us! (…) Did they want to disable our camp? Well, then we will hold the programs in the heart of Budapest, in Népliget, for free! We are waiting for you, Mária, on August 19, complete program and details in the Facebook event! Are you coming with us?
- said the organizers, who promised to build a left-wing community in Budapest and to make fun of Fidesz.
Part of the history of the case is that the Szikra Movement, marked by the name of András Jámbor, a dialogic parliamentary representative and also involved in Antifa and pedophile cases, planned its summer camp in Bodajka. However, the owner of the camp revoked their permission, which they trumpeted in the press that Fidesz had attacked the Szikra camp" and that "the authorities attacked the camp". However, the reality, according to the Fidesz mayor of Bodajk, was that the village camp is not managed by the municipality, but by a private owner, so it has nothing to do with who camps there. Therefore, the claims that the municipality prevented anything are not true
