This was said after last year's vote counting by the Hungarian woman who would like to move to Spain with her husband, but they cannot sell their home near Pécs and the arboretum that belongs to it. Poor blue…
"Yesterday, I actively participated in the election, I was a member of the vote counting committee," wrote Andrea Gönczi on April 4. The liberal Gönczi and her husband, László Székely, spoke in a Telex video a few days ago that they could no longer bear the current state of affairs in Hungary and would rather emigrate to Spain.
People smelling of alcohol, unwashed, with bad teeth, and ignorant people are coming, they come to this run-down cultural center in the suburbs and vote for Fidesz,
because it suits them, it couldn't be better," Andrea Gönczi reports on her experience.
As he wrote, "when the umpteenth miserable, clueless voter arrives from our street, my candlestick breaks, I cry." He added: "These people decide about my fate, my future, about what used to be my country. Because it isn't anymore.
I don't want any association with this country, I'm leaving, like millions have already left, I'm joining the others who just had enough".
"László Székely and Andrea Gönczi decided to move to Spain after the 2022 elections. According to them, in the last ten years, the nation has been torn apart due to the political trench-digging, and moreover, many people question their Hungarianness because of their liberal values. But they have been trying to move for more than a year in vain, because they cannot sell their home near Pécs, along with their library of thousands of copies and the arboretum surrounding the house," reads the Telex.
