The British are not kidding, it was necessary to introduce the humiliating measure due to increased shoplifting.

New regulations were introduced in several Aldi stores, reports Mindmegette.hu. The discount chain hired special security guards with the aim of checking the bags and backpacks of customers entering the store. Those who do not accept the new terms of purchase cannot be served by the sellers, and they will also be banned from the store in Great Britain.

It is known that the British Aldi was forced to introduce the new control because the number of shop thefts has recently increased.

An employee of the discount chain told The Mirror that the new regulation was introduced just last week, and the accompanying inspection is not carried out by Aldi employees, but by security guards hired for this purpose. It also turned out that if the customer defies the new security procedure, they will not only refuse service, but will also be banned from the store.

If all this were not enough, it is also worth preparing for the fact that after payment, the customer may be detained on the way out of the store, if for some reason the suspicion of theft has arisen.

Aldi, like several other supermarkets, also tries to reduce the number of thefts using other methods. Among them, we may be familiar with, for example, block exit, but it may happen that they limit the number of goods on the shelves, on which more security labels are placed.
