Attention, very dangerous fake news is spreading on the Internet, even lives can depend on it!

Many people are sharing the post on Facebook that from September 1, the number for the ambulance and health care will change to 1830. By the time our article was published, the post had already been shared more than 8,600 times and is still spreading, according to the Világgazdaság.hu article.

There is no doubt that the post looks authentic, if only because its author appears to be a paramedic himself based on his profile picture.

However, what is described is not true, it is a gross and dangerous fake news.

The number 1830 is the county's emergency number, which can be called after 4 p.m. for those who have some kind of health problem. Those who need urgent help should still call the single emergency number, 112. This can be dialed at any time throughout the day.

As of September, the emergency number is still 112

In the matter, Világgazdaság contacted the National Rescue Service (OMSZ). Spokesman Pál Győrfi confirmed: it is a misunderstanding, in case of an emergency the number 112 should still be dialed. The 1830 telephone number was introduced back in February, when the OMSZ launched the unified primary care on-call system. Its central emergency number is 1830.

This also rings at the ambulances, but it is reserved for when someone has a health problem on GP duty or on night duty.

It's not a good solution for people to switch to 1830 in droves now because it's a different service

Pál Győrfi said.

In addition, the 112 system has many advantages, thanks to which it is possible to handle incoming emergency calls, i.e. people who have had an accident, who are bleeding, who are not breathing, who are sick, etc., more efficiently. sick calls. The September date is related to the whole thing in that from then on, three more counties, Baranya, Szolnok and Veszprém, joined the 1830 system, so that this central emergency number can be called in a total of 9 counties.
