The fall political season is starting and Hungary must prepare: the EP elections, the war and the rule of law will determine the next period of the European Union.

In the last four years, the European Union and its institutions could neither manage nor solve the crises, but they used these situations to deepen their own power. I want to finalize this process before the elections, or at least make it so that it cannot be reversed, the strategic director of the Center for Fundamental Rights stated at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.

Brussels is trying to completely destroy the sovereignty of the member states - István Kovács said, referring to the fact that last year there was a consultation on the future of Europe at the initiative of the European Commission, in which all Hungarian proposals were rejected, and as a result it was announced that the vast majority of European citizens want a federal Europe.

István Kovács believed that this endeavor could be ordered to stop at the EP elections.

The strategic director said about the rule of law procedure that although it initially started as a consultation and exchange of experience, it has now reached the point where

the European Commission refers to the procedure and withholds the funds rightfully due to Hungary, thus preventing, for example, a salary increase for teachers.

"In addition, the investigation was extended to areas that Brussels had nothing to do with, and as the Hungarian leadership "began to meet" the criteria of the Union, more and more expectations were raised. It seems that the procedure is a "bottomless well", Brussels will always come up with new demands and will not stop until the Hungarian government says no to war, gender ideology and migration," said István Kovács.

"In Brussels, the effort is to replace the outdated concept of the rule of law with the concept of democracy, precisely because what is called the rule of law in Brussels has nothing to do with legal concepts, it only means imposing political preferences on member states. However, democracy is purely a political concept, so there is no need to pretend it is legal," the strategy director stated.

István Kovács also called the Russian-Ukrainian war an important topic, which, in his opinion, was also mishandled by the Union, its current policy "could lead to mass death, the bankruptcy of the European economies and even the third world war, especially if the Ukrainians run out of manpower and it must be decided whether European countries will send soldiers".

According to the director, the sanctions policy will remain and further sanctions may come, despite the fact that they have not met the expectations placed on them.

István Kovács mentioned the upcoming national elections in Poland, which, he said, are a good example of how "proven comrades from Brussels are parachuted into the leadership of the member states", referring to Donald Tusk, the former president of the European Council, who is currently one of the opposition forces in Poland, the President of Civic Platform.

Attila Kovács, European Union research director of the Center for Fundamental Rights, pointed out that next year's European Parliament elections are not only about whether there will be a conservative, national, sovereignist political bloc in the parliament, but also that the result will affect the president of the European Commission and also the election of its commissioners, as the parliament has the right of veto in the process.

The next period is also the period for rethinking the seven-year budget cycle, because the Brussels coffers are currently empty due to faulty crisis management, overpriced vaccine procurement and arms deliveries to Ukraine, said the research director.

He added that with the approach of winter, the European energy situation will be an important topic, people will again feel that the faulty sanctions policy imposes additional burdens on European families, and that corruption scandals may become more intense as part of the preparations for the elections.

Attila Kovács said that he expects a debate between Hungary and the EU on the issue of child and youth protection, as it is expected that the Court of Justice of the European Union will "vote in favor of the Brussels ideology".

Finally, the research director spoke about the fact that there was a change of personnel in the Soros empire in the summer, "Alexander Soros's army is also in order of battle", and its main direction will apparently be migration, war and anti-peace.
