The CIA tried to interfere in the Hungarian voting - we already knew this, but now the confession has arrived.
After the US democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. talked about how the US secret service, the CIA, influences the domestic political processes of other countries by funding various foreign media and journalists, former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson directly claimed that the US State Department is openly intervened in the 2022 Hungarian parliamentary campaign. The goal was to overthrow Viktor Orbán.
Viktor Orbán is not a typical phenomenon in the European Union, because he is religious, conservative and because he did not want to open Hungary's borders to the influx of illegal immigrants, said former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson in the Judging Freedom internet show. According to him, this is why the USA and several European countries made serious efforts to get rid of it.
- It is interesting that although in 2016 the Americans were deeply outraged that the Russians allegedly interfered in the US presidential election campaign, in 2022 we directly interfered in the Hungarian elections, which Viktor Orbán won again, by the way, he stated.
When asked if they intervened to stop Orbán, Larry C. Johnson responded, yes, in order to defeat him, which, among other things, America tried to achieve by funding Orbán's opponents.
And to the suggestion that, according to them, the CIA is capable of significantly influencing the results of elections in foreign countries, he stated: moreover, it was not the secret service that intervened, but the US State Department. "We didn't even try to hide our opposition," he emphasized.
The statement is made even more interesting by the fact that a few days ago, the American right-wing news portal The Epoch Times published a recording in which US Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke about how the United States influences the domestic politics of various countries.
He said that the US pays foreign journalists for propaganda purposes.
According to his words, America owns media outlets all over the world and has thousands of journalists on their payroll. And the funding is handled by the CIA through a State Department organization called the Agency for International Development (USAID).
The reality of Kennedy's statement can also be confirmed by the fact that the foreign intervention and the existence of the dollar mediums were also recently confirmed by the Hungarian national security agencies. The secret services began to investigate after it was revealed that they had influenced the Hungarian parliamentary elections with money coming from America, as a result of which the country's sovereignty could have been damaged.
As it turned out, the campaign of the Hungarian left received billions of forints through the American organization Action for Democracy (AD) led by Dávid Korányi. Dávid Korányi is known to have acted as a former advisor to former prime minister Gordon Bajnai and mayor Gergely Karácsony. The Hungarian national security services found AD to be linked to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) in several ways.
According to a frequently recurring claim in open sources, "the NED is essentially the official appearance of the CIA abroad." Allen Weinstein, who helped found the NED, stated in 1991, "much of what we do today was done covertly by the CIA 25 years ago."
NED ended its active activities in Hungary at the end of the 1990s, when Hungary's accession to NATO became certain. In 2014, the management of the organization assessed that the domestic political situation in Hungary had become so worrying that an intensive thought process began about restarting their activities in Hungary. If the organization decides to re-appear in Hungary, it does not wish to open an office in Hungary, but rather seeks Hungarian partners through whom it can implement its goals.
No matter how it turned out, it is an undeniable fact that Action for Democracy received several billion HUF in support for the 2022 parliamentary campaign of the left, a part of which landed at the opposition revolver media, namely Oraculum 2020 Kft., which publishes the EzaLényeg online newspaper group.
And the fact that Ádám Ficsor, one of the owners of the DatAdat group, which runs the campaign of the left and bears the name of former prime minister Gordon Bajnai, was recommended by the American embassy to the leadership program for foreigners of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Washington, even during his time as minister of the secret service. (This was revealed in a diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks.) In addition to the Foreign Affairs, the recommendation was sent to the CIA and the Ministry of Defense.
