A family-friendly element has been added to the EgészségAblak mobile application thanks to the latest development. Parents can now access their children's accounts, and adults can also access their older parents' documents through a power of attorney, which can even be given to a friend, for example, to get a prescription.
Bence Rétvári, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, announced at the press conference in Budapest on Friday, announcing the update of the application, that the latest update will make the application more family-friendly, as family members' documents will also be available in case of authorization. So, parents can access their children's accounts, and adults can also access their older parents' documents through a power of attorney, which can even be given to a friend, for example, to get a prescription, he said.

Power of attorney can be given to those with a customer portal through the interface of the Electronic Health Service Area (EESZT) in the self-determination menu, where
it is also possible to set which documents can be accessed and for how long.
After that, the authorized person must accept the power of attorney in the EESZT, he said.
As he explained, the authorization documents can be accessed by switching users in the Health Window application.
Bence Rétvári also said that 2.4 million people have already downloaded the application. An average of half a million prescriptions and one and a half million medical documents are downloaded through the application every month.

The state secretary expressed his joy that "family-friendliness is now becoming more and more accessible and tangible for everyone at all levels, in terms of measures, ideas and now also tools".
The family-friendly idea is not only about the mother, father and child, but it covers an entire life journey, he emphasized. He added: the essence of family-friendly governance is to support and help families in all life situations.
