New York's Hungarian TV, together with the '56 Lángja Foundation (www.56Langja.com), announces an open photo competition entitled Twelve months of the Hungarian tricolor.
For the competition, we are looking for photos and works depicting our national colors in the most diverse and surprising contexts. In addition to the theme of our national flag appearing in the four seasons, the photos may also include other forms of occurrence of the tricolor. From red and white to green painted on the face at an international sports event, any form of our national colors appearing in the field of vision of applicants is suitable for entry.
The purpose of the competition: to compile a 2024 wall calendar. The prize distribution will take place in Budapest, at the Hungarian Tricolor Gala in the fall of 2023.
Submission deadline: September 25, 2023. Photos received after the deadline are automatically entered by the organizers as nominees for the following year's competition. Other details of the tender can be found at this address . Please upload the photos on this page.

The projects are judged by a prestigious jury, whose president was Vilmos Zsigmond, Oscar-winning cinematographer, until January 2016. His role was taken over by Lajos Koltai, an Oscar-nominated and Kossuth award-winning cinematographer.
The first three winners receive valuable prizes: the author of the first prize receives HUF 200,000, the second one 100,000, and the third one 75,000 forints. Special prizes await student applicants under the age of 21.
The author is responsible for the content and copyright of the submitted works. The organizer of the tender reserves the right to use the submitted works in the calendar to be published, as well as in other publications - with respect to copyright (indicating the creator's name) - free of charge.
