Autumn is here, so are the student demonstrations. Student protesters are planning to occupy the bridge on Friday afternoon.
Student organizations, including the United Student Front - Budapest and the ADOM Student Movement, have announced a demonstration for Friday afternoon The following was announced at the demonstration's Facebook event:
"We're coming for you!
You understand, who had to say goodbye to your favorite teacher for good,
You understand, who in addition to teaching has to work 3 jobs in order to make ends meet,
You understand, who has to watch your child leave this country,
You understand, who has no chance to access basic education ,
You know, the one whose grandchild didn't end up doing better than you did a long time ago.
Do you understand?
Gathering from 16:30 at the Elvis Presley park, at the Buda bridgehead of Margit híd. From here, we will march across Margit Bridge to Kossuth Square, where we will arrive at approximately 6:15 p.m. There will be SHORT speeches here, then we will join the Fridays For Future climate protest, we will march across the Chain Bridge to the stage set up after the end of the tunnel.
