The first student protest of the academic year was held on Friday, during which the participants marched from Elvis Presley Square in Buda to Kossuth Square. Gergely Karácsony, Lili Pankotai and Ákos Hadházy also appeared at the event.

It's barely 800 demonstrator provocateur left shortly after 5:00 p.m. across Margit híd towards Kossuth tér.

Hír TV was also present at the event. The reporter wanted to find out from Lili Pankotai, one of the advocates of the movements, what this demonstration is saying to the government.

To this Pankotai replied that

"We are telling the government that Viktor Orbán voted for the sanctions. We are announcing that 16,000 teachers are missing from education. On the third part, we would like to inform you that Orbán studied on a Viktor Soros scholarship".

Then, when the Hír TV reporter asked him what his problem was with the pedagogy law, he first started yelling at the crowd that "silence is not order", and then he started repeating his above answers. However, he could not explain what the above reasons have to do with the law.
