Hungarian people are not stupid, that's why they have two-thirds as much time, and it's a thousand times better to live here than in Germany, the Netherlands or England, the musician said in the interview.

He was born 70 years ago, on December 16, 1953, and baptized four days later, on December 20. He stated somewhere that the latter is a much more important date in his life. Because of his faith?

Everything that is born has an end. Our lives too. I could also say that man is born to die. On the other hand, in baptism we receive the promise of eternal life. That's why baptism is the most important moment of my life on earth for me - begins singer Róbert Szikora, frontman of R-GO.

When did you find God?

It was the greatest experience of my life when

in my twenties I had a glimpse of what it would be like in eternity. I felt incredible happiness and peace

and since then I believe that it will come. In the 1950s, during communism, many parents decided to enroll their children in religious education as a sort of lifeline. It happened to me too. As a child, of course, I had a different relationship with God, later as a teenager it was somewhat obscured by music, but then the point came when I realized that God is there in my life every day.

In many ways, he is not a typical rock star. For example, not in the fact that he constantly preaches the word of God and has been married to his wife, Zsuzsa, since 1975, which is also unusual in terms of divorce statistics...

I am connected to Zsuzsa by God, I just had to find her.

How did you meet?

He lived in the neighboring street and went to the same school in Rákospalota that I went to. I saw him walking down the street once. Her hair was brighter than anyone else's. Then I saw him talking to a friend in the school yard. He had such beautiful black eyes that I had never seen before. One day we were playing football in the street, he came and stopped to watch the game. We didn't have a goalkeeper, I asked him if he would start? It stopped. Not long after, I ran into a situation. And it was as if I had been electrocuted. I will never forget his touch, his smell. Later, as a musician, many girls wanted me, but he was and is there for me, whom I love just as much as when I first saw him.

Their child was not born, and they rejected the option of using artificial insemination.

Because the child is also a gift from God. The good God gives soul and personality, he is the creator not only of the visible, but also of the invisible. I don't think people can interfere in this.

What does Christmas mean in your life?

A great gift. God loved man so much that he sent his son among us. And not to condemn us, but to gain salvation through him. And although Jesus was mocked and crucified here on Earth, he did not fight back. Because love can't fight back.

How worried are you about what's going on in the world these days?

It will pass. Wars too. This is not the end, not the apocalypse. Of course, when looking at today's world political situation, it often comes to my mind that it is very lucky that the Hungarian Prime Minister is called Viktor Orbán.

Ever since Viktor Orbán has been in office, the nation's chariot has been going in the right direction.

And although many people want to say that Hungarians don't know what they are doing, I have bad news for them. Hungarian people are not stupid, that's why they have two-thirds of this time. It is a thousand times better to live here than in Germany, Holland or England. It is no coincidence that those who have a bit of sense there and can do it, come to live in Hungary...

At the age of seventy, maybe you already see: Hungária or R-GO is more important in your life?

If there is no huge success of Hungária, then there will be no R-GO later. The latter, my own band, was already my childhood dream.

R-GO's birthday concert will take place in Debrecen on December 16. Why there?

This is exactly what Miki Fenyő asked me. I replied, listen, the Papp László Arena and its predecessor, the BS, were filled twelve times with R-GO, why do you always have to perform concerts in Budapest automatically? That's why Debrecen. I'm really looking forward to the party, I hope it will be a full house in the Phoenix.

And how much are you looking forward to next summer's Hungária party in the Puskás Arena?

The idea has come up countless times in recent decades, but something has always been missing, most of all the will.

Now everything came together like in the flood,

everyone wants it, which can make for a memorable concert. I admit, I'm nervous about that, and also about how the public will receive our Christmas song, which has just been released. It's called Rock and Roll for Christmas. A new Hungária note after 28 years, and it's also a Christmas note, which has never been, I hope people will like it.

He received the Péter Máté award this year, but he does not yet have the Kossuth award. Do you miss me?

I have a friend who is six years older than me, who brought rock and roll to Hungary, who formed Hungária, whose name is Miklós Fenyő. If he receives the already very prestigious Kossuth award, then let's talk about this award in relation to me as well. Not until then!
