Csaba Dömötör emphasized that, based on previous experience, most people returned the questionnaires by post, but the number of online fillings was also very high, and the government wants to provide both options.

The consultation questionnaire contains questions that affect Hungary's sovereignty, and undoubtedly, these days the biggest debate is taking place regarding the issue of Ukraine's EU accession

- said the state secretary, recalling that a decision was made in Brussels to start accession negotiations with Ukraine.

According to the government, this is a bad decision, because they would speed up this process without giving any information about the impact of Ukrainian membership on the member countries and how much it would cost us.

He added: they did not ask the citizens about all this, but the Hungarian government will do so in the framework of the consultation, and it can be seen from the experience of the past weeks that many people take advantage of this opportunity. This is also proven by the fact that there was a day this week when 62,000 questionnaires were returned by post.

Csaba Dömötör encouraged everyone to give their opinion if they haven't already done so, which can be done on the internet at nemzitkonzultacio.kormany.hu.
