The Szabad Prize, created by the Society for Freedom Rights (TASZ) in 2019, was presented for the fifth time, and this year the award was also given in a new category.

The company advocated the creation of the 18-25-year-old category because they believe that this age group can speak to young people authentically and with fresh eyes. The winner of the category was Lili Pankotai, who became famous last October when she made a profanity-laced anti-government speech at a demonstration held in reference to teachers. The young girl, who was still about to graduate, then changed schools and soon became the front man of left-wing demonstrations.

In connection with the award ceremony, TASZ thanked its partners, including the British and Dutch embassies, Líra Könyv, Közélet School and 444.

TASZ also produced a video with the award-winning anti-government activist, in which Pankotai explained that, in his opinion, people's thinking must first be changed, without which there would be no point in replacing the government. He also talked about how neither he nor his family and friends can imagine their future in Hungary at the moment.
