There is nothing new under the sun, the leader of the left once again told a big lie.

On September 27 last year, Ferenc Gyurcsány told Partizán that the Apró villa would be sold within a year. Márton Gulyás asked about the property that has experienced many storms, saying that this house is a great political burden for them.

"There are a lot of attack surfaces regarding your person in terms of Orbán's exercise of power, to name just one, for example, the so-called Apró fork, which I honestly don't understand why you feel the need to keep it even in this type of symbolic matter feed the Orbánist propaganda machine. ... Do you brush this question off with whether or not you are a useful idiot for the Orbán system, so that everyone can decide for themselves, or do you have some reflection on this that you would like to share with the public? said the presenter.

The video shows that the president of the DK was very surprised, but not because of the fork, but because his interlocutor "used him".

Gulyás defended himself by citing several opposition opinions, but this did not satisfy Gyurcsány, who stated that it was good, but in his opinion "we don't say that to each other if you are not angry". The partisan interviewer put down his weapon here, saying "I accept".

The opposition politician then replied that within a year they would sell the Apró villa - which is owned by his wife, Klára Dobrev - but primarily not because it represents a surface for attack, but because there were three left. "Klára, Marci and I, and Klára also spends half of her time in Brussels. Well, we're hanging out in that huge big house, what the hell are we doing there?" he said.

The matter came up again in November, when Klára Dobrev was asked about the status of the sale at a shadow government briefing.

The owner of the villa simply said "no way", and after they pressed the topic further on whether they were thinking about selling because of the utility costs, the EP representative stated, "this is not an exciting question."

The villa on Szemlőhegy Street can hardly be seen from the street, the building is covered by huge trees. From the outside, it seems that nothing has changed in the past months. Of course, this still makes it possible in principle that the Gyurcsány couple sold it and moved, but the probability of this is rather small, since

somehow they would presumably have already publicized that they got rid of the building.

According to an older man who walks his dog there almost every day, they still live there, he told the Mandiner that he would have noticed if there had been more activity here recently.

Of course, where a politician lives is basically a private matter. But the Apró villa is not an ordinary property, on the other hand, Gyurcsány himself told in an interview what their plans are for it, so the public can rightly be interested in its fate.
