Tamara Tóth, rider from Kecskemét, won the final of the 16th National Vágta with her horse Galaxy on Sunday evening at the Lipica Equestrian Center in Szilvásvárad.

Tamara Tóth, a competitor from Bács-Kiskun County, who won the title of the fastest rider of 2023, received the National Vágta Wandering Award, a hussar saber from 1848, a Hadik Hussar statue from Herend and the Golden Serpent Award at the ceremony. A victory blanket was spread over the back of his horse named Galaxy.

In the final, Tamara Vörös, Ácsteszér's rider, finished second, Viktória Zboray, Adorján's rider, took third place, and Árpád Csíki, Szentkirály's rider, finished in fourth place.

In the Kishuszár Vágta, Anna Júlia Rozs, Szentkirály's rider won the final on her horse Nárcisz, ahead of Szikszó, Sarkad and Fülöpszállás.

In the final of the Fogatvágta, three people started, the first place was won for the fifth time by the pair of Tieger Endre and younger Tieger Endre in the colors of the Dombóvár Sütvényi stud.

In the afternoon, the final of the international race was also held, the winner of which was the rider of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mahmoud Mohamed Jar Mohamed Raid. The rider of the Republic of Croatia, Tena Belcic, finished second, and the rider of the United Kingdom, Dan Martin, finished third. The competitor from the Netherlands finished in fourth place. The riders started with indigenous Hungarian horse breeds, Lipica horses.

Actors Péter Bács and Gábor Krajnik-Balogh, as well as dancer Krisztián Széchenyi, competed in the Charity Star Race this year. The winner was Gábor Krajnik-Balogh, who donated his prize to the Bottyán Equus Hungária Horse and Dog Home.

The winner of the Kocsitolo competition was Abony's cart pushing team, the Lófő team from Transylvania finished second, and the Iváni Lóbarátok Egyesület finished third.

After the ceremonial award ceremony, he said goodbye to the National Vágta Szilvásvárad with a stallion drive. This year's competition commemorated the "unknown hussar of '48" who testified to patriotism and courage.
