Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held a bilateral meeting with Charles Michel, President of the European Council, in Granada, Spain, on Thursday morning.

The prime minister wrote about it in an X post: Brussels is building an Orwellian world before our eyes.

He objected that the European Union buys and delivers weapons through the European Peace Program, while they want to control the media through the Media Freedom Act.

"We didn't fight the communists to end up in the world of 1984!" Viktor Orbán stated.

The topics of the two-day European summit were reviewed at the meeting of the Prime Minister and the President of ET.

Viktor Orbán reiterated the Hungarian position regarding EU funds, the ever-worsening migration emergency at the continent's borders, Europe's economic and competitiveness decline, and the EU budget.
