The Három Királyfi, Három Királylány Movement and the National Association of Workers' Councils are advocating that employees in the private sector and in the public sector can have additional leave for children.

The movement stated in its statement that the union of workers' councils had already submitted the proposal to the Ministry of Economic Development, which received the proposal favorably and classified it as supportable from a professional and regulatory point of view.

According to the rationale of the organizations

the purpose of child leave is to allow the employee to spend more time with his or her child,

for the purpose of its care and education, therefore, according to their point of view, it would be completely logical for the employee to use it at the time when he needs it.

As it was written, there is currently a practice in several employers operating in the manufacturing industry that the employee has additional leave for children. This is made possible by the collective agreements concluded by their trade union.

Freedom consists of basic freedom and various rights-based additional freedoms. The employee is entitled to two days of additional leave for one child under the age of 16, four days for two children, and a total of seven working days for more than two children. Currently, the employer is obliged to issue seven days of leave per calendar year - in a maximum of two installments - at the time specified by the employee, the announcement reads.

The purpose of the Three Kings, Three Kings Movement is to encourage participants in the corporate sphere to adopt and spread family-friendly corporate operations.

In 2013, the Family-Friendly Company of the Year award was established, which is awarded to companies that, with their family-friendly operations that support work-life balance, contribute to the strengthening of society's family-friendly approach and support for having children.
