Demonstrators glorifying Hamas also marched in Poland on Saturday, as part of a series of pro-Palestinian demonstrations held across Europe. The event was not without anti-Semitic undertones either.

Israel's ambassador to Poland condemned the anti-Semitism at the parade.

Ambassador Yacov Livne drew attention to a placard carried by one protester that read "Keep the world clean" next to an image of an Israeli flag thrown into a trash can.

According to unconfirmed reports, the blonde woman holding the banner was a Norwegian medical student living in Warsaw.

Livne called on the Polish authorities to "take action against blatant anti-Semitism before it gets out of hand."

Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński stated that such things "should absolutely not happen".

"Inciting hatred on the basis of national/ethnicity is a violation of the law," he said.

There was another banner at the march that read "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free" (the most repeated phrase for the destruction of Israel).

The Warsaw protest was organized by the Czerwoni (Reds) socialist organization and was part of a series of pro-Palestinian demonstrations across Europe on Saturday.

Poland's Muslim community has grown significantly in recent years due to record immigration.
