But the flag doesn't suit him...
He is running for the title of mayor and candidates are nominated in all 15 constituencies, announced Zsolt Borkai, the former mayor of Győr. The politician will compete in the colors of the Together for Our Future Association.
In a video posted on his social media page, Borkai said what he thinks
Győr must be built as it was between 2006 and 2019,
"I can't do this without you, so I'm asking everyone to support us in the election next year," he continued.
In the city, Borkai and the challenger of the current mayor András Csaba Dézsi, Bence Pintér, a senior employee of the ugytudjuk.hu portal, announced his launch in the name of a new civil association, which is supported by the LMP and Momentum.
In recent months, Győr's politicians have noticeably switched to campaign mode, messages have also begun between Borkai and Dézsi.
Chances
A public opinion survey was recently completed with the cooperation of the Nézőpont Institute, which assessed the chances of the expected candidates.
The telephone poll revealed that the current mayor, András Csaba Dézsi, has the highest support. Pollsters asked about this in several comparisons: in the event of a duel with Zsolt Borkai, 47% would vote for the incumbent mayor, and 13% would vote for Borkai. Dézsi leads 46:13 even if the third candidate, Balázs Pollreisz (MSZP), also enters the ring: the socialist candidate would receive 8%. It is noteworthy that 23% and 18% respectively support the unnamed other candidate, i.e. the proportion of those who are unsure.
