But there was someone else who also voted no.

In a political statement, the Parliament condemned the terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel and expressed its sympathy to those who suffered the attacks and lost their relatives and loved ones.

The proposal submitted by the leaders of the ruling party faction was accepted by the parliament with 168 yes votes, two no votes and four abstentions.

Ákos Hadházy and Előd Novák voted against. Momentum did not participate in the vote.

The document states that Hungary condemns terrorists and stands by the victims, and recognizes Israel's right to self-defense.

The statement draws attention to the fact that large numbers of admitted crowds, among whom there are representatives of Hamas and other terrorist organizations, pose a direct and serious risk to Europe's security without control. This is a direct consequence of the "irresponsible and flawed" migration policy. The Parliament also declared:

Hungary protects its borders against illegal immigration with physical and legal border closures, keeping the terrorist threat associated with migration at bay and guaranteeing the safety of Hungarian citizens, and expects the European Union to support this position by all means.

Jákov Hadasz-Handelszman, Israel's ambassador to Hungary, was present at the decision-making.
