The Fidesz people are moving forward like a bullet, and we are sane. The co-chairman of the MSZP is still confident that all opposition parties will eventually stand behind Karácsony in Budapest.

Ágnes Kunhalmi was recently Index Konktertan Rónai Egonnal. The co-chairman of the MSZP stated in the program that, in his opinion, the opposition parties should run together in the upcoming EP and local government elections.

because by competing with each other, they only give Fidesz a greater advantage.

The politician believed that "the lack of cooperation is not the problem of the MSZP, but of the country". According to him, the opposition should not compete with each other, but should try to defeat Fidesz. During the conversation, Kunhalmi stated that he is "sad and considers it a mistake that the opposition parties did not listen to him" and that they will not run on a joint list in next summer's European Parliament elections.

"We loved and respected Feri"

The co-chairman of the Socialists also told Rónai that he still does not understand why the Ferenc Gyurcsánys had to leave the party at the time, if now they are trying to implement a social-democratic turn with the Democratic Coalition, which the MSZP announced after 2010.

We loved and respected Feri, we didn't want him to leave

Kunhhalmi underlined.

The left will have to be reunited

The MSZP politician believes that the left will have to be reunited in some way so that they can once again compete with Fidesz.

"The opposition parties are conveying continuous uncertainty to the voters, while the Fidesz party is moving forward like a bullet. The municipal election will take place on the same day as the European Parliament election.

A Fidesz voter will know who the municipal representative, mayor or EP representative they should vote for.

There are as many of us as there are, in as many places".

Ágnes Kunhalmi also mentioned that she trusts that, although only the MSZP has publicly announced it so far, eventually all opposition parties will stand behind Gergely Karácsony in Budapest.
