On Friday, the National Museum welcomes families with all-day programs and interactive presentations as part of the national series of museum events, the Autumn Festival of Museums.

The family day begins in the morning with the family treasure hunt program " In Search of Ancient Treasures"

With the treasure hunting worksheets, families can go through the museum's archeology exhibition on their own.

In the morning, a live museum program titled The Three Wishes of the Princess begins, where children are invited to take a trip back in time. In the game, you will have to collect the most valuable treasures from the three most distant corners of the country.

Poncolj with us! children who want to test their dexterity are welcome to the program, as during the session there is an opportunity to get to know objects from the time of the conquest and to try out the punching technique.

Punching is a process that decorates the surface of goldsmith's objects with repetitive motifs. Participants in the session can create representations of 10th-century objects, reconstructing individual elements of the metalwork of that time. You can register for the program in the morning.

Among the interactive demonstrations, György Lengyel, a Hungarian specialist in stone tools, introduces visitors to the making of clicked stone tools. Visitors can participate in this program every half hour.

With the exception of the treasure hunt, the number of individual programs is limited, so separate registration is recommended [email protected] email address.

The Autumn Festival of Museums has been held every year since 2006, and both capital and rural museums join it with their events. This year's concept of the national series is related to the topics of science and technology, with particular attention to the connections between the natural sciences and the museum, as well as the authentic communication of scientific results. For a month and a half, more than seven hundred different programs with the participation of around 130 museums await the public until November 12.
