The question is poetic, since Christmas is every year. Why is this important right now, and why is it more timely than ever?

Togetherness, love and peace, deepening, being together, which is present in every family's life at Christmas. The world is boiling around us and there are fights and fights behind it. Everything around us is tense, at this time it is important to relax and deepen a little, to use the cohesive and loving power of the family, so that everyone can find a little comfort in some corner of their house.

The biggest challenge of the past three years has been covid for commercial workers. Challenge, task, expectation.

It is a challenge, because in the middle of an unknown pandemic, when people are dying one after the other and there is a ban on going out and gathering, department stores were the epicenter of the killer disease. It is a task, because at work we must complete the tasks entrusted to us. It is expected, because the daily consumer goods must reach the people so that they can feed themselves.

We passed the exam well, we did the impossible, although there was a lot of fear and a heavy burden on our shoulders: the fear of an unknown disease, facing death and meeting expectations.

As traders, we rarely get to rest, the concept of long weekends is unknown to us, because the social expectation of "always being open" leaves a heavy mark on the allocation of rest days.

The time has come when we too ask society for a day. Based on the surveys, we see that society is also open to our proposal. Let December 24 be a day of rest!

It does not only require tolerance, appreciation and acceptance. It is tolerance on the part of society to accept that they reorganize their Christmas shopping for one day, because everyone knows that it can be organized and planned. Our motto

1 day is not the world in shopping, but one more day to be at home with the family at Christmas means the world to us!

When commercial enterprises spend millions or billions on marketing and brand building, it would be a noble gesture, an example of appreciation, a sign of gratitude and thanks, if they said in their store about December 24: we are ordering a rest day for all our employees. The operation on this day would be the same as on public holidays.

May all employees have a Christmas!
