He remains an old communist.

The DK leader sent a message from Malaga: Few people live very well, but the vast majority face difficulties.

According to the fallen prime minister, "a broad, patriotic, democratic unity is needed against the Orbán world".

"It's better to have friends and partners and not enemies. As of today, the Democratic Coalition has more allies. We became full members of the Party of European Socialists (PES) at today's ‹Friday› congress in Malaga" -

was revealed in the statement published on Ferenc Gyurcsány's Facebook page.

In a short video, the president of DK also reported that he gave a speech at the congress of the Party of European Socialists. Gyurcsány stated in his login that

"there are a thousand kinds of problems in the world, and as many of us as there are, we rank these problems in as many ways."

He then went on to say that a party such as the Democratic Coalition has the task of saying what it thinks is the biggest problem. "We think the biggest problem is that there are very few people who live very well and the vast majority are facing difficulties. (…) He can't find a good enough school, he can't find a good enough job. He doesn't feel free enough, he can't pay his bills," it was said.

He then stated that these problems can best be addressed in a social democratic way. "We would like to propose such an alternative to Hungary as well".

The former prime minister of the opposition emphasized that they still think that

we need a broad, patriotic, democratic alliance against the Orbán world".

In the video, Gyurcsány also said that a long construction process preceded DK becoming a full member of the Party of European Socialists. Then, looking to the future, he noted that he hoped that

"the joint journey will be even more successful, with many European and non-European friends."
