According to Viola von Cramon-Taubadel, a German Green Party MEP representative, it is clear: "Transcarpathia is just a tool for Orbán". The representative disputes that the minority would be oppressed:
"If we look at the rights Hungarians have in the region, we can hardly find any other minority that has more rights"
