The strategy by which Viktor Orbán introduces the Hungarian model to Europe is very well thought out. The presentation in Switzerland is an important building block of this strategy, as is the meeting with former FIFA president Sepp Blatter. Because nothing here is incidental and nothing accidental. Written by Levente Sitkei.
The words of the Hungarian Prime Minister now carry weight, among other things, because he never changed his position and consistently stood up for issues that he considered important for the country.
Hungary has never supported migration. He was never on the side of wars.
He never advocated increasing the influence of the European Union and reducing the power of the member states.
In the meantime, governments came and went on the old continent, crises dictated cohesion, political disputes upset the peace, but Hungary stuck to the set direction. The Hungarian model seems to be working. Although it may seem that the entire EU is a huge liberal playground with rainbows and dysfunctional governments, it is a community of half a billion people with a thousand years of history and experience, that is, there is indeed a community that has had enough of imported aberrations, armed conflicts and overseas guardianship. They have to show that no one is alone who is looking for the old values, the bells still ring today, nativity scenes will still be placed in front of the churches, and children are still born from marriages between men and women.
Today, hope can spread from Hungary to the west.
This is a completely natural part of history. Europe, with its distortions and divisions, is nevertheless a very highly developed and wonderful place, where we also find a lot of good things in terms of cooperation between peoples.
It is not known where the future of the European Union will turn, but it is unnecessary and self-defeating to brood over the liberal crisis phenomena.
Yes, the danger is real, the EU project is also in its final days, but you can never give up the fight, that in the end it is still possible to forge a better functioning European community that is not paralyzed by bureaucrats and does not represent selfish interests of great powers.
This requires fighters like Viktor Orbán, who goes to Switzerland and tells what the Hungarian mission is like.
Passing on the idea is definitely a confirmation for those who think similarly to us. Consistent work can result in a European renaissance here, and the continent will become productive and innovative again. But it is by no means enough for words to be spoken, actions are also needed to make the Hungarian model workable.
Hungary must take its place among the dynamic countries that the allies see as an example to follow.
This is an extremely versatile job. It is no coincidence that Hungary is the only country in the region where there has never been an early election since the regime change, thus preserving the stability of the political order. This is how the current system was built, which offers the opportunity for dynamic development without the need to bow to pressure from Brussels.
This still requires something special, something that is talked about far and wide, and everyone nods in approval when it is mentioned. Not money, not power, but the joy and playfulness that characterize life, a kind of Hungarian spirit, without which our world would be just a squirrel's wheel, morning and evening, in perpetual rush. That extra is football. The Hungarian national team and Dominik Szoboszlai. No, it's not just a game at all. This is one of the most important building blocks of the great building.
