Transgenders were also there on the catwalk, satisfied with their performance, but there was still enough common sense left in the world that at least they did not make it to the podium among the most beautiful women.

Over the weekend, El Salvador hosted the finals of Miss Universe 2023, which made history in more ways than one. In 2018, there was already an example of a transgender woman measuring herself, but for the first time there were two: the Dutch and the Portuguese competitor.

Rikki Valerie Kolle already made headlines when she was chosen as the beauty queen of the Netherlands this summer.

Outraged netizens literally tore it apart for a biological man winning, thereby taking away the opportunity from biological women. The second place finisher behind him also stated that he "needs time" to process what happened.

A man became the most beautiful woman in the Netherlands - beauty contests were also taken away from us

However, the transgender model's march ended in El Salvador, she didn't even make it to the top twenty, i.e. she didn't get a place.

He also remembered his performance on his Instagram page: "How much I enjoyed it and what an experience it was, I gave it my all and showed myself. I'm happy and I stand by everything I've done," he wrote. He added that even if he didn't get a place, in his mind he reached the top.

I made my community visible on this huge stage. I delivered my message and drew attention to it - he explained, not even hiding that he wanted to use the publicity to make transgenderism accepted. He also chose a rainbow-colored piece for his "national dress":

He was not alone, as Portugal was represented in El Salvador by another biological man, Marina Machete. She was also included in the top twenty most beautiful girls - that's why her "Dutch sister" congratulated her. The Portuguese competitor also admittedly works as an activist to ensure that everyone who identifies as transgender receives the medical treatment they need.

The 72nd Miss Universe also made history in that a plus-size model representing Nepal, the 80-kilogram Jane Dipika Garrett, was among the twenty most beautiful girls. And for the first time, a Pakistani beauty took part in the competition, although Erica Robin belongs to the small Christian minority, but she still took the stage in a burkini for the swimsuit number.

The first three places were Miss Nicaragua, Miss Thailand and Miss Australia.

Hungary was represented by the beautiful Blága Tünde, but she didn't get a place either.

The girl appeared in the Hungarian national dress at the competition, about which she wrote on her social media page: "I experienced one of the most beautiful moments of my life, as I was able to wear the clothes of my own nation in the national dress parade at the most prominent beauty pageant in the world."

In his post, he also testified that he is proud of his Hungarianness and Csangóness.

"This parade in my own national costume in El Salvador was not only an event for me, but an opportunity to show the world that we are strong and that we will not give up!"

"We tied the threads of our community tighter and spoke together for the values we fought for over many centuries. Our Hungarianness cannot be erased with criticism. We exist and we will exist! There are no borders that can separate us!” he wrote, among other things.

In 2015, Miss Universe was bought by a Thai and openly transgender businessman, Anne Chakrajutathib, for twenty million dollars.

According to her recollections, she attended a boys' school as a child, where she was often the target of attacks because of her girlishness. Later, after her business success, she reportedly spent a million dollars on various sex-changing surgeries and other procedures to become a woman. Forbes estimated his fortune at $210 million in 2020, making him the third richest transgender person in the world. Although he explained the purchase of Miss Universe as business reasons, he is also known to be an ardent activist for transgender rights.
