The country's Christmas tree has arrived in front of the parliament

Until now, the pine has decorated the garden of a family house in Hajdúszoboszló.

We learned about the fact that the huge tree reached its destination early Monday morning from the Facebook post of government spokesperson Alexandra Szentkirályi.

Specialists from disaster management, the national defense and the police helped transport the approximately 24-meter high, 80-centimeter trunk diameter, 5-ton pine tree.

The Office of the Parliament is setting up the country's Christmas tree on Kossuth Square, following decades of tradition.
