Béla Czeber worked for decades, but life hit him with tragedies that made his everyday life impossible.
The Hungarian Reformed Charity Service has been helping Béla Czeber, who lives in the Hódoscsépány district of Ózd, for a year now. Boon wrote .
The man lost his family. He spends his days alone, which was compounded by the fact that he was robbed twice in the recent period. His clothes, his lighter and his phone were also taken, and cataracts attacked his eyes. He became blind, which makes his everyday life even more difficult.
The Hungarian Reformed Charity Service mostly supports communities, but after a post shared by a private person, a serious coalition was formed in the case of Uncle Béla.
HUF 400,000 was collected from various donors, and even an Austrian community indicated that they would like to support the work at the house. We received windows and doors from a company, bought stoves, and contacted the Ózd Vocational Training Center Gábor Áron Vocational Training School, who also supported the cause
- managing director Márton Juhász told the portal.
The students of the school participate in the renovation of the property, replacing doors and windows. Rodent extermination was also carried out in the house, and the charity would like to get to the point where, in addition to plastering and painting, the man's electricity supply will also be restored.
Firewood and food are brought several times a week by the staff of the charity service, who also try to help him get his eye surgery done as soon as possible.
The loss of my sight makes it almost impossible for me to do anything, but luckily the staff of the Hungarian Reformed Charity help me in everything, I don't even know how to thank them. The doctor removed a barley from my eye, and next week another treatment will follow, so that I can see again. I am grateful to the charity service and to all the donors
said the old man.
Béla Czeber worked for decades, but life hit him with tragedies that made his everyday life impossible. Now, thanks to the broad cooperation, he hopes again for a life worthy of a human being.
And next week, we will take Uncle Béla for eye surgery: let's keep him in our prayers that the cataracts will be removed from his eyes, so that he can soon see his renovated, safer home! With a grateful heart, we thank everyone who helped our service and contributed to the hope that Uncle Béla's life will be straightened out
