He tried to explain his words by saying that he "just wanted to express his solidarity", however, since regret came over him after his agency fired him, it is not known how seriously his latest statement can be taken. Either way, his Xwall is still full of pro-Palestinian posts…

Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon has apologized to American Jews for her anti-Semitic speech at a pro-Palestinian rally last month, in which she said Jews were finally "getting a taste of what it's like to be Muslim" in the United States.

Sarandon received a lot of criticism for her comments at a pro-Palestinian rally in New York.

"A lot of people are afraid right now because of their Jewishness, while they're getting a taste of what it's like to live as a Muslim in this country," Sarandon said at the rally.

The actress was fired by her agency United Talent Agency (UTA) following her comments.

Sarandon later wrote in a post on Instagram that her comment was “a terrible mistake because it suggested that until recently Jews were strangers to persecution, when the opposite is true.

"As we all know, from centuries of oppression and genocide in Europe to the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, Jews have long faced discrimination and religious violence," the actress added.

Sarandon noted that she was "deeply sorry that she trivialized that reality and hurt people with that comment," adding that she "wanted to show solidarity in the fight against bigotry of all kinds."
