We tend to believe that our job is to stay away from the affairs of the world by praying in the silence of our churches, cultivating pious thoughts, because it is no longer our job to influence it. Nice idea, but dangerous.

Having slowly weathered the rough onslaught of Covid, the "good old" person is especially prone to looking back. From where to where, from where to when, how and why?

So I inevitably think back to November 1962, when I occupied my first district medical station. With today's sense, I should have appeared in Kusaly in Partium, more precisely, instead of dust, I could mention the guest-crushing mud of Szilágyság.

But we lived in different times back then.

I have an interesting memory, according to which one of the first things that came to mind was that Advent was approaching, and that it would be good to keep in touch with my dear friends. There was mail, even if the censorship worked, but there were no postcards suitable for the occasion. So I made them myself with Carioca (the felt pen of the time), by the light of a kerosene lamp. Somewhere, someone may still have a copy of them, although most of the recipients have since crossed over to the calmer shores of the Styx themselves. These few homemade postcards then became the Advent letter, and it has accompanied me throughout my life to this day, never missing the Advent mood. At that time, there were 50-60 pages, now there are e-mails and postal letters approaching a thousand. In the meantime, the number of recipients decreased, but also increased. According to the order of life.

At that time, in the middle of a dictatorship that was completely transparent in its primitive perfection, I was not concerned with the choice of dust or mud, but I could rejoice that after the hard forced break ordered by the authorities - which was my removal from the university - I could become a doctor and they could not throw me over the Carpathians . The fact that although I could start my work within the desired framework of the province of Cluj, it was still half a day's journey and three train transfers away from my hometown. This did not even arise as a difficulty, and many people even envied me because of my hard-earned luck, which was really partly hard-earned and partly luck. Because my place in the ranking according to academic results is in favor of the majority of colleagues, luckily I managed to distort it with "only" so many cheap, fake certificates that I could choose from the last three options in the province.

Arriving at my roadless station, I practically had no accommodation, I didn't know what I was going to eat, I won't write about the equipment, because no one would believe it.

But don't pull the strings any further. What I really want to highlight is quite different. Because I was a happy person, and the mentioned circumstances did not bother me at all. How could I have thought of such a thing?

We lived one of the last years of Gheorghiu Dej's Romania moving towards the Ceauşescu dictatorship. As a member of the first generation that grew up in it, it never occurred to me that it could be any other way. Having already reached 56 there, we were beyond all illusions.

Fears of the globalization dictatorship

Now, let's jump forward 61 years, while by God's grace I can type the lines of my latest Advent letter on the keyboard, and I find myself returning again and again to the scene and moments of the beginning of my adult life. It's as if I'm constantly measuring the effort of the summarizing intention of the person who is rushing down the finish line to the beginning. Although this also includes the relationship I resumed with them a few years ago, with my nice plans for helping Kusaly, it deserves a better fate.

Today's new generation, which was brought up in a stealthy "world dictatorship" completely different from the one above, without noticing it, is now entering the scene. And I have no right to accuse them of unsuspectingly imagining themselves to be happy. They are happy for everything that the comfort of civilization offers them, and in the midst of the joy of consumerism, they do not even think of how it could be otherwise. The modern dictatorship of globalization - covering everything - tries to dazzle them even more.

In the meantime, however, they skillfully accommodate new fears in their thinking. The píszí defended climate fear, the looming terror of recurring epidemics, the false necessity of migration, the misconception of the inevitability of wars, and above all, the many attempts made to destroy the pillars of secure identity.

Of course, then, 61 years ago, and today, 61 years later, there are those who thought with a broader horizon and are still thinking.

However, the crowd lived then as they do today, they live their lives from one day to the next and become more and more defenseless.

And in the world of democracies, he reacts to the influences on him in the expected way, and plays out his fate, which is actually imposed on him from the outside.

In the meantime, the triple anchor representing the strongest handhold, the God-home-family, is located at the center of every attack.

And here - as Christians - let's stop for a moment.

Blessing and peace! This is how the Reformed people of the motherland greet each other and: Peace from God, says the fellow from Transylvania. Because where there is blessing, there is peace, and where there is peace, there is blessing! Christ is there with us, to be praised!

We live in an age of dangers caused by forces trying to control the affairs of the world only by human hands.

We must learn to examine our own minor and major problems in the knowledge of this and, asking for the help of Providence, plan our own contribution to the resistance knowing this.

Those forces want to cause total chaos in our world by breaking the pivotal point, peace, which, according to them, can bring them complete control over the created world, and in it the human being. They direct their plans as servants of evil. It is not by chance that we live today in the most dangerous age of anti-Christianity.

What should a Christian do?

We are an obstacle - the biggest obstacle - to the realization of their utopia. This is why they are using chaos, fomenting divisions, isolating people who are created as communal beings (that certain atomization), but they are also turning our own weapon – our Christian attitude towards our neighbors – against us, and proclaiming from above that if we are Christians, we must accept everything.

The method is deceptive and attracts many. We tend to believe that our job is to stay away from the affairs of the world by praying in the silence of our churches, cultivating pious thoughts, because it is no longer our job to influence it.

Nice idea, but dangerous. Because in the meantime, those whom we "accept", figuratively speaking - but unfortunately also according to real European examples - tear down our churches from our heads.

Thus, a person who imagines himself as a believer finds himself in the anti-Christian camp as a result of disappointments, prejudices, insults or simply well-targeted external influences, and he is not even able to notice it.

So what should a Christian do? Nothing but what the Savior did. To distinguish between good and bad, to preserve the true content of the word, let yes be yes and no no.

To kick the peddlers out of our churches and give the place to construction that also values the poor woman's krajcárs.

Because our church - under given earthly conditions - preaches the gospel.

We have churches and schools not only so that those who have received the grace of faith can gather there, but also so that we can proclaim the good news! And to multiply!

It is not by chance that sharing also tries to pit us against each other and obscure our thinking, locking us in the mental ghetto of a pleasing misconception.

The dividing line: God, home, family

Today, among the many fault lines forced upon us, the most important is between neoliberal and conservative, international and national ethos. This became the most usable terrain for the forces marching against us.

The Christian spirit and the Christian culture that once raised Europe, with the triune unity of God-home-family, became the focus of the attacks by inciting this fault line into a front line. This means both a fight against Christianity and an attempt to destroy the individual's sense of identity.

Because

our strongest identity is the handhold of faith itself, the possession of the good news that solves everything,

but it doesn't matter that we were born here, that for some reason, somehow, we are Hungarians, and national consciousness gives a new impetus to making sacrifices and recognizing dangers, and the family fulfills the task of maintaining the created world - in our case, human - and ensures our survival.

It is clear that these are the basis of everything and that whoever pursues divine power attacks the foundations.

So this is the big whole in which we now have to align ourselves, and which determines how our smallest problems, question marks, and things to be done.

A multitude of social engineers sworn to evil are trying to produce a mass without identity.

Those of us who have seen it with our own eyes, and have not let go of it, will resist! In the world around us, this can only be found in individuals, although in our country, thanks to exceptional grace, there is even a more massive, one could say country-wide, resistance. It's no coincidence that this stirs up emotions out there.

The chance of success is unpredictable. If, on the other hand, we surrendered to the expected ideologies and their internal and external mercenaries, everything would surely collapse. After all, if we were to accept what they force on us, we could lose the self that was given to us at the moment of creation.

Programmable material for nodding, work and consumption

The masses of people "in use" would mean almost nothing to the ruling elite, we could only be as many as the need shows. We would become programmable matter for nodding, working and consuming.

So either we give in and lose, or we try to assert even a one percent chance. That one percent, on the side of which, however, we are in alliance with higher forces that can increase the hope of our success to infinity.

And here I return to the question mark of the generations that appeared before and after 61 years.

At that time, under the burden of daily naturalness, a generation swelling with strength was brought up. Almost by itself, just under pressure. Not all diamonds, but still tough. It is capable of survival, and it is also suitable for waiting.

However, what is the situation today, when instead of compression, the dangerous tool of decompression is raising new generations?

Here and now is the ultimate duty of the hardy, lean generation that is now leaving, to do everything to try to make an impact with the last big effort before the end. Primarily by example and in every other possible way.

With God's special grace, we still have a chance for this. And there is still a driving force! And as if, despite the continuous negative examples, there is also a generational receptivity.

This country torn by history has chosen and tries what the bigger ones don't even dare to say. Designed according to the laws of creation, it steps forward and reaches out in search of allies. He is not ashamed to place himself under the protection of God's protective grace, he does not accept attempts to betray the homeland, and he voted to remain when he swore to support the family with all his might.

Many people complain about hearing this so often! Except

we are experiencing an emergency. Great forces are trying to stop us, while they themselves do not understand the secret of our resistance.

And the secret is to preserve our identity at all costs. Clinging to that triple anchor with strong faith.

Advent, as it has been for so many years, brings together our heavenly and earthly hopes, and that's a good thing.

In this way - to the wonder of the world - the László Németh council may be realized and we can become a leaven nation.

That is why we should pray during the weeks of Advent and wait with strong faith for the birth of the savior!

A strengthening Advent and a blessed Christmas to all of you:
