According to research by the Pew Research Center, the proportion of people who consider their compatriots close to them is the highest in Hungary.

the Pew Research Center, Hungarians feel closer than the world average to their compatriots, to their local community, and to all people living in the world.

In the research involving 24 countries, an average of 50 percent of the respondents felt close to all the people living in the world, 78 percent to those living in their local community and 83 percent to their compatriots.

Bonding with one's own compatriots is strongest in Europe, as well as in India and Japan.

Hungary, on the other hand, produced an outstanding value: in our country, the percentage of those who consider their compatriots close to them is the highest in the entire survey (93 percent).

Hungarians answered positively above the international average regarding local communities (82 percent) and people living in the world (61 percent).
