The 78-year-old Júlia Kudlik, former host of the public media's legendary science-informative program, presented the Sára-Csoóri Lifetime Achievement Award in the Thália Télikert on Friday.
This year's awardee was Jenő Hábermann, the Béla Balázs award-winning film producer, who received the recognition in the framework of the professional awards founded by Duna Médiaszolgáltató Nonprofit Zrt. Júlia Kudlik (who herself received the Sára-Csoóri Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022) made her debut on the screen of Hungarian Television in 1964 and worked for three months as an announcer at Hungarian Radio. In 1965, he was assigned to host the Delta , a position he held until 1996. Later, after a short break, he worked again as a presenter. He also worked at TV2 as an editor and reporter.
In 2003, at the request of Fidesz, he was a presenter at one of their rallies, but he was not influenced by party sympathy, nor was he a party member.
In autumn, Júlia Kudlik participated in the Civil Salon event of the Port of Komárom, where she said that although she does not live a hermit life, she is truly alone.
When my employment with Magyar Televízió ended on November 30, 2001 - which was my first and last job, by the way - I decided that my life in the public eye was over. I closed one phase of my life and started another. But I'm still alive because I'm not on the screen. When I was on the screen, being seen was not the most important thing for me either
– he stated.
