In the spirit of adherence to the eternal values of life and the traditions of the camp, the 31st Bálványosi Summer Free University and Student Camp will begin on Tuesday at Tusnádfürdő in Transylvania with the motto "There is something eternal". The Transylvanian Hungarian Youth Council (MIT) and the Budapest-based Pro Minority Foundation, known as Tusványos, await those interested with more than four hundred social and entertainment programs until dawn.

Tusványos is a unique spot in the summer event offer, and its three-decade existence proves that there is a demand for an event in Székelyföld that combines public and political topics with cultural programs and entertainment, Krisztina Sándor, executive president of the Transylvanian Hungarian National Council (EMNT), explained to MTI , Tusványos political program manager. The organizers therefore do not necessarily focus on innovations, but rather on ensuring that Tusványos remains what makes it unique and why its core audience loved it.

What is always new is the timely political topics, which the program manager grouped this year into four topics. The first is the war and its consequences, the second is the economic situation and crisis management, the third is the future and prospects of Europe, and the fourth is "everything that is national politics".

This year, the leaders of the Hungarian interest organizations and parties operating in the Carpathian Basin will not miss Friday morning

national policy round table, and on Saturday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and László Tőkés, president of EMNT, will give a presentation and answer questions from the community, and the forum will be moderated by one of the founders of the free university, Zsolt Németh, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament - listed Krisztina Sándor.

This year, 47 partner organizations organize programs at 27 locations, among them there are also new ones, as some lecture tents have been transformed, because their number cannot be increased due to the limited space. The program manager a

Magyar Kultúra highlighted the new venues as well as the Jenő Buzánszky sports terrace, where those interested can meet many famous Hungarian athletes, Olympians and Marco Rossi, the captain of the national football team. The detailed program can be found on the Tusványos.ro website and is also available with a mobile application.

Tusványos is both a festival and a free university, which was created in the early 1990s as a partnership between Fidesz and the right-wing Hungarian youth movements in Transylvania. The Bálványos Free University, which dissects national political topics, moved to Tusnádfürdő in 1997: twenty-five years ago, the event was named Tusványos from the merging of the two settlement names. The political forum was supplemented with a student camp in Tusnádfürdő, which expanded the program offering with numerous youth events and laid the foundation for the continuous renewal of the organizing team.

The series of events of the 31st Bálványosi Summer Free University and Student Camp begins on Tuesday evening with the "zero day" concerts - with the performances of Transylvania, Nagy Feró and Beatrice, and Tankcsapda; the official opening of the professional and public programs will take place on Wednesday morning. During the week, Margaret Island, Kowalsky and Vega, Aurevoir., Bagossy Brothers Company, 4S Street, Blahalouisiana, Balázs Szabó's Band and Honeybeast will also perform at 31. Tusványos.
