The election program of the Vojvodina Hungarian Association (VMSZ) is an extremely concise and clear document, worthy of the current government, constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici Jr., consultant of the Századvég Foundation, stated in the current morning program of the M1 channel on Tuesday.

The expert believes that the current government

a minority force such as the VMSZ is a major winner, as they can show Brussels that minorities in Serbia have special legal status and that they have common goals. The goals of the VMSZ are also the goals of Serbia

he stated.

Zoltán Lomnici Jr. said about the number one item on the agenda, the fight against migration: "President Aleksandar Vucic hears the demands" that the VMSZ advocates for action against illegal immigrants, and in the past period, a large number of gendarmes and police officers have been serving in the northern part of Vojvodina, the in settlements along the Hungarian border to guarantee the safety of the people there.

He emphasized: it is important to state that

the interests of the Hungarians can be represented primarily by the Hungarians, therefore it is an important aspect that the VMSZ be a governmental factor even after the early elections on December 17.

The expert explained that the Vojvodina Hungarian Association has the opportunity to represent Hungarian interests at the provincial and regional level.

Attila Pethő, the correspondent of the current channel M1, logged in from Belgrade and said,

in addition to illegal immigration, the most important programs of the VMSZ include EU accession, the protection of minority rights, Hungarian-language education and the development of Vojvodina settlements.

In the program, Elvira Kovács, the president of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, one of the vice-presidents of the VMSZ, was connected from Belgrade, who said that her party has been participating in the fight against illegal immigrants since 2015, and that as a result of consultations with the Minister of the Interior, the migrants have now disappeared from the northern part of Serbia.

In the compilation of the election program, the themes that preserve Hungarian identity were the most important aspects, stated Elvira Kovács, citing as an example

Hungarian-language education, infrastructure projects, support for cultural associations and civil organizations, economic development, family support and health care.

Zoltán Lomnici Jr. on Radio Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! was also a guest of his show, where he talked about how

based on opinion polls, the current government coalition will have twice as much support as the opposition formation called Serbia Against Violence.

He added that the kind of foreign lobby that is connected to the American Democrats through various organizations and whose aim is to overthrow the current government is also present in Serbia. The expert believes that despite everything, only President Vucic is currently a serious political actor, and "the opposition cannot expect big changes."

The advisor of the Századvég Foundation also said that there is a consensus in Serbian politics that all political forces are pro-European and pro-Union, whether on the sovereign or progressive side. He elaborated: for the Serbs, "it may be a sore point that Ukraine would like to overtake Serbia" in EU accession.
