The solidarity of our society made it possible for the Egyenlő.hu trade union and CÖF-CÖKA to break the wall regarding the December 24 store closures. It became possible to provide the employees of several store chains with a day off, so that they can prepare for the worthy celebration of Christmas Eve.

The birth of Jesus gave a future to the hope of eternal life, because he was not only born, but also died and rose again. This is proof that there is hope for all people even in the most difficult moments.

For families, Christmas Eve marks the irreplaceable power of togetherness. Love, love, love, thrice. Hugs, gifts, shared memories and the heart-warming radiance of joint planning for the future at the festive table. Thanks to all those who contributed to this, to the owners of the chain stores that provide the day off, who gave it to their employees as a well-deserved gesture so that they could relax and enjoy the warmth of the love provided by families, the cornerstone of our society, with full devotion.

They deserve to be listed. Lidl started and most of Rossmann, Penny, Montex, OBI, XXXLutz, Diego and Libri and Spar stores joined.

Customers can reciprocate the store's gesture, showing their loyalty to them. They can do this by purchasing their holiday needs in these chain stores until December 23. Something for something, in today's language, a win-win position.

Those who are now open in the hope of business profit, we hope they will realize that the customers on the 24th will indeed see tired, homesick employees, because not everything on offer is overtime pay.

There are many ways to express solidarity, such as employee loyalty to closed chains. Perhaps it is not an exaggeration to assume that those who now put increasing their income for the sake of profit before the interests of their employees and their families are wrong.

We can be strengthened by the countless thanks that have come to us and positively evaluated the closings.
