Bálin Pásztor also asks Serbian citizens who live in Hungary and have the right to vote in Vojvodina to return home on the third Sunday of Advent and support the VMSZ, which represents the interests of Hungarians, with their vote.

Neither the Hungarian Association of Vojvodina (VMSZ) nor the Hungarian community in Vojvodina has been orphaned or left alone, they have worked together in recent weeks, in addition, they have experienced an all-Hungarian unity, the leaders of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin, as well as the leaders of the motherland, have assured their support southern Hungarian party - emphasized Bálint Pásztor, acting president of the VMSZ, on Wednesday in Szabadka.

The politician reminded that the election was called two days after the death of the party chairman, István Pásztor, by the president of the republic, so they started the campaign in an extraordinary and very difficult situation.

"For a political community, a political party to turn to the election campaign by losing its leader, this has never happened anywhere before, at least not two days before the elections," he explained.

As he said, the party's representatives felt it their duty to go to every settlement inhabited by Hungarians, to talk to everyone, and to try to find solutions to everyone's problems, just as they did before.

He reminded that in the case of national minorities, five thousand signatures of supporters are required to run in the parliamentary elections, and the Hungarian Association of Vojvodina collected more than twice that amount in a very short time.

He expressed his hope that what was perceived during the fieldwork will also be experienced during the election, i.e. that the Hungarian community in Vojvodina feels that an important election awaits them and supports the party that can ensure the protection of the interests of the Hungarian community in Vojvodina.

He added: they found that the issues represented by the VMSZ are not important to anyone else, so it is very important for the VMSZ to have a strong representation in the Serbian and Vojvodina provincial parliaments and governments.

He stated that VMSZ's is the only Hungarian and the only Vojvodina list, so it counts on the support of those for whom these communities are important.

"We expect that the Hungarian community will be united, and we can count on the support of all those for whom our style of politics and the normality that we have represented in the past decade and a half are important," underlined Bálint Pásztor.

He explained that the party's election slogan is "For our President, for our community, for the future!" volt. Unfolding the slogan, he pointed out:

they want to achieve an election result that even the party leader István Pásztor, who died at the end of October, would be proud of, they are working for the community and so that the Vojvodina Hungarians can remain in their homeland in the future.

During the six weeks of the campaign, 354 events were held in 74 settlements, and representatives of the Hungarian government also assured the Hungarian Association of Vojvodina of their support in the campaign, it was said at the press conference in Szatka.

Finally, Bálint Pásztor asked everyone to vote on December 17 and to support the VMSZ list.

In addition, he asked Serbian citizens living in Hungary and with the right to vote in Vojvodina to return home on the third Sunday of Advent and support the party, so that, for example, the development of Hungarian-language education, economic development, and the further construction of infrastructure can continue.
