Jan Pospieszalski stated that if according to the official procedures there had been a legal change of leadership in the management of TVP, the Polish Press Agency and the Polish Radio, they would have left.
"I experienced a lot at public television. I have seen many CEOs replaced, I also remember various, more or less stormy personnel changes. But I have never seen such a thing until now, where some outsiders forcefully led people out of their offices, slammed doors, pushed representatives. Honestly, I have never seen violence like this before”
- Polish journalist Jan Pospieszalski, who hosted the public television (TVP) talk show, stated in an interview with the international news portal Remix News.
"I started working at TVP in 1994. We were a new team, and they didn't welcome us there either. The post-communist establishment, to which the television crew mostly belonged at the time, treated us as foreign bodies. But even those communists treated us much more decently than what we see today on those cell phone videos in Warsaw"
- told Pospieszalski about his experiences according to the Magyar Nemzet review.
According to him, the violent takeover of public television by Donald Tusk and his new government is an admission that they know they are not following the law.
Pospieszalski stated: if according to the official procedures there had been a legal change of leadership in the management of TVP, the Polish Press Agency and the Polish Radio, then the previous team would have left in the same way as the PiS politicians left the state institutions.
We didn't have to wait long, the Polish ballibs have already shown their true colors
Since the radical steps of the new Polish government, the demonstrations have been continuous in Warsaw, the politicians and sympathizers of the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party have been demonstrating non-stop in front of the public television building. The party also sharply criticizes the violent actions of Donald Tuskék on the social media site.
"We say no to the propaganda created by Donald Tusk and his officers, who illegally occupy the headquarters of public television, Polish radio and the Polish Press Agency. We say no to breaking the law, trampling on Polish democracy and restricting freedom of speech"
- writes the party on X.
