On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Islamists attacked several Christian villages in Nigeria, killing more than a hundred people. The attacks were well coordinated. No fewer than 20 different communities were attacked by the bandits, said the Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State.

The German news portal Junge Freiheit drew attention to the fact that the German press reported too little about the massacres and did not name those responsible specifically enough. The Tagesschau news portal, for example, only wrote about armed gangs on its website. And Zeit Online mentioned the brutal massacre in connection with the conflicts exacerbated by the climate crisis. ZDF drew the story on similar insights.
