Become a member of the Bárka camp team! The Bárka camps of the Hungarian Reformed Church will continue this year, and the organizers are looking for dedicated contributors to run the tours. From camp leaders to animators to spiritual servants, applicants are invited until February 21 for various tasks.

More than 1,500 students are spending their holidays on the Balaton shore in the Bárka camps for the fifth year, many of them coming from the most backward areas of the country, from disadvantaged families. This camp is not about difficulties, failures, or resignation, but rather its essence and content is that every child is valuable and lovable.

The Bárka camp could not exist without dedicated contributors, so this year they are also looking for instructors and animators equipped with experiential pedagogy and children's camp experience, i.e. in Bárka terminology: captains and helmsmen. The organizers need enthusiastic and energetic volunteers, i.e. deckhands; for employees responsible for spiritual content, who are called fishermen in the camp, and health promoters, i.e. health guards.

For the positions of governor and captain, regardless of education, occupation or place of residence, applicants are welcome who have reached the age of 16 and have experience as a manager of activities related to children's activities or experience pedagogy, are experienced in children's camps, responsible care and safe supervision of children.

In the Bárka camp, spirituality is given a lot of emphasis. The organizers want the children who come to them to be able to get to know Christ who called them, to receive spiritual impulses that help them start or continue on the path of Christian faith. Employees who are members of the Reformed Church, who have reached the age of 18, and who would like to help the children's spiritual development, are therefore expected to apply for the position of fisherman. It is advantageous if they have experience related to children's occupations, are experienced in children's camps and performing spiritual services.

Throughout the camp, forward-looking health communication plays an important role, in shorter and longer sessions they try to improve children's health awareness. This task is performed by health workers. Every day, the employees work on a topic related to health with the children in a playful and informative way.
