Whether they deny it or not, Christianity is the most persecuted religion today, not only on other continents, but also in Europe. A large part of the inhabitants of the old continent rejects the faith, even though the Union could not exist without Christianity. If we do not return to these roots, it will not exist for much longer.

For a Christian, it is incomprehensible what is and is not considered valuable in the Union today. Not even the family, among others. It should be clear even to non-believers, but thinking people, that the traditional family model is the only guarantee of survival. No matter what kind of decision the European Parliament makes, children and offspring can only be born from the union of a man and a woman. The liberal-Bolshevik majority refuses to acknowledge this simple fact.

Henk Jan van Schothorst, chairman of the board of directors of the Dutch and American Christian Council International, sees Hungary still standing on the ground of normality

– I would like to start by thanking Hungary for persistently fighting for our values and Christianity in the European Council.

Between 2002 and 2007, I worked in one of the committees of the European Parliament, and even then I experienced that the Union was significantly moving away from its original goals and ideas. At the University of Leiden, there was a course and a debate on European integration and the European Economic Community. The Netherlands wanted to create a free trade zone, but the other 5 countries, the founding countries, followed a much more protectionist policy. The Netherlands was left alone with its vision practically displaced. It's the same now

Hungary is also left alone, but I want to reassure everyone, because they are not alone. There are many more people in Europe than you think who are very happy that Hungary stands up for the original Christian values so bravely and with a straight spine.

– What happened in the Dutch election is an encouraging sign, not entirely unexpectedly, but the Dutch society turned around enormously. The vote was won by a party that they tried to push out of politics and that already declared how they were on the side of the citizens, although it was not yet known that they could become so strong. I hope that a right-wing government will stand much more in favor of sovereign nation-states and a European Union based on sovereign nation-states than the previous governments.

– As far as Hungary is concerned, I think your child protection law is an excellent piece of legislation, and I will never forget the enormous indignation it caused in the circles of the Dutch government, in the prime minister. They said that if the rainbow flag is not hoisted in Hungary, it will leave the European Union. Although

the Union has nothing to do with the family policy of individual member states, and nothing to do with education policy either.

When I heard these outraged voices, I wrote an article and wrote a letter to the then Hungarian Minister of Family Affairs. In this letter, I expressed my sincere appreciation for the work and perseverance of the Hungarian government in protecting Christian values and children. I asked the Hungarian Minister of Family Affairs to share this letter with Viktor Orbán, because we wanted to continuously support the entire Hungarian government in its struggle. By the way, 3 days before the adoption of the law, the representatives of the European Union attacked me with hatred when I explained to them the expected decision. They called me a homophobe, even though they knew that the law was not about homosexual people. But an attack here, hatred there, we were very proud of you. And when I received the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit - perhaps also thanks to my performance - the recognition made me very proud and happy. To this day, I wear it proudly and happily on my chest.
