The realized objects of one of the important projects of the left wing leading the capital are avoided from afar by a person of good sense.

The public toilet program promised in the 2019 local government election program of the left is a complete failure. Referring to the brainstorming session of the capital's community budget, several "exemplary" public toilets with promised space-age functions were installed, but they have not yet been put into operation. However, it is not only these toilets that have serious problems in the capital.

At the brainstorming session of the first Budapest community budget, the Budapest public toilets project took top place, but nothing happened for three years. There are toilets called "Exemplary Public Toilets" now, but they are either inoperable, or well-meaning people avoid them.

According to the website of the Budapest brainstorming session, which is announced every year, the new public toilets offer higher comfort than the existing ones and a novel visual quality, such as the electronic, smart payment option or free of charge. Development of a new maintenance scheme; other connected services, such as drinking fountain, phone charging. It is not yet known whether these extras have been implemented, because these all-purpose, steel-framed toilets have only been "placed" in their designated place, and it has been more than half a year since they were put into operation.

There are two such washrooms, Józsefváros II. On Pope János Pál Square and near the Zugló railway station, both are left-hand driving districts.

Magyar Nemzet contacted the capital to find out when the public in Budapest can use the exemplary toilets, but we have not yet received an answer. According to the website operated by the capital, the commissioning is delayed due to the procurement of stainless steel, but even so, the space-age toilets should have been operational by last spring at the latest.

The steel buildings of the two toilets are already in their designated places, so it is not known why they cannot be put into operation.

While the toilets are not, the capital's propaganda machine works. The capital's online newspaper "Azénbudapestem" wrote about it: the new, vandal-proof, public toilets are equipped with a self-cleaning mechanism, the automatic washing system cleans the toilet bowl and the floor after each use, so the next user is always greeted with cleanliness.

Security is ensured by a remote monitoring system, but since it is not working, it is not yet possible to know whether the new method will be effective against unauthorized intruders.

In light of the above, the question arises: why was the Blaha Lujza tér toilet, which is a model project of Mayor Gergely Karácsony, not equipped with cameras from the start, which the capital's public space supervision can see and intervene immediately in case of problems. The toilet located at one of the city's busiest traffic junctions is mostly non-functional, or if it is not, it fulfills a new function: prostitutes carry their faggots here, drug addicts do business or shoot themselves here. The new toilets were also equipped with diaper changing facilities, but they are not used by mothers, but by drinkers and drug users as counters.

The public toilet - with which Gergely Karácsony took a selfie - has been in disrepair practically every day since it was handed over, and the capital clearly does not clean it very well.

In addition to those mentioned, "smart toilets" were also installed in the districts. In Józsefváros, it is clear from the complaints of the locals that there, too, drug addicts mainly use the public, automatic toilets.

There have also been examples of campaign washrooms becoming inoperable due to vandalism.

Known: András Piko, the VIII. the left-wing mayor of the district built almost his entire campaign on the promise of public toilets. To achieve this, the district was first flooded with toi toi toilets, emitting an unpleasant smell.

However, the residents complained in vain, the mayor insisted on the smelly plastic stalls.

In the past few days, the news came from Ferencváros, led by Krisztina Baranyi, that the construction of a toilet has been left unfinished. According to the Facebook coverage of municipal TV, the contractor of the public toilet disappeared and left the area in Haller park in a half-finished state.
